Troop 8

February 5th is Scout Sunday, a BIG day for Troop 8.

Troop 8 is one of the longest, continuously sponsored troops in the nation. Please show your appreciation by attending this event. We will be sitting as a troop in the second worship service which starts at 10:30 a.m. Please come in Class A (with neckerchief and sash). Families are welcome to attend also.

After the service we will have lunch (11:45ish) in the CLC Auditorium. The Court of Honor will starting shortly after noon. We have 3 young men receiving their Eagle!

Costs:
Adults $8, Child $6.
Immediate Family Max of $25.
Cash or check (make payable to Troop 8)

Please send money as soon as next scout meeting, January 23rd.

Please RSVP to your patrol advisor as we need a head count for food.

Directions to Jim Webb’s farm:

From 1-20 East- take Flowood Exit, then North on Flowood Drive. Webb farm will be on the left approximately 1 mile from intersection of Flowood Dr. and Hwy 80

From Lakeland Dr. – turn on Treetops Blvd. and go to end. Then take Right on Flowood Dr.  Webb farm will be on Right about l mile from Treetops Blvd.

If it rains on Friday, do not take cars off road at farm unless instructed by Jim.  Stay on road.  It will get muddy and cars are likely to get stuck.

Catered dinner Saturday night is @ 6:00 pm.  Bring lawn chairs.  If you have not paid for dinner or shooting, please see Ed Scott before departing from church @ 5:30 on Friday.

Scouts, our April campout will feature skeet shooting at Providence Hill Farms April 15 – 17.  Gun safety course required.

Weekend campout leaving Bolton at 11:00. Should arrive at church for roll call at 11:30.

Troop 8 Buffalo Patrol makes chili on weekend campout.

We will leave the church parking lot at 5:15 pm on February 18, 2011.  Return will be the morning of February 20 at the church parking lot, with specific return time to be posted on this site this weekend.  There will be no cellular coverage at the camp location.  A map to the camping location is here:  Directions to Campout February 18 2011.
